Chito Vera is the UFC's King of Violence

 THE CHITO SHOW

The UFC's show on August 13th at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego was headlined by a crucial matchup in the bantamweight division between Marlon "Chito" Vera and former 2 time champion Dominick Cruz. With the 37 year old Cruz on a win streak and finally able to stay active in his career, the matchup with the Ecuadorian gangster would only result in fireworks, and it certainly delivered.

Chito Vera knocks out Dominick Cruz in the 4th round via a headkick that might of had similar impact to that of 400 foot homerun from Manny Machado just twenty miuntes down the road at Petco Park.

The fight played up to its lofty expectations with Cruz looking like his prime self through the first 3 rounds, darting in and out of range and outlanding Vera on the signifant strikes count. But as we've seen recently through Chito's career, he has a granite chin and just needs one shot to significantly hurt his opponent and separate them from consciousness.

The UFC is loaded with entertaining fighters including Conor McGregor, Jiri Prochazka, Charles Oliveira, but none has gone on a run of pure violence that Chito has displayed over his 4 fight winning streak. His three round war with Davey Grant that left Grant looking like a carved up pumpkin was amazing to watch, as Chito's toughness and great muay thai skills make all his fights a must watch.

Not to forget his front kick knockout over Frankie Edgar who is a legend in the sport.

I mean.... that's just a brutal picture right there.

There seems to be a common trend in both the Edgar  and Cruz fights, which is Vera losing the first couple rounds and still finding the perfect moment to land a devastating blow.

Chito will most likely move up to #4 in the bantamweight division rankings, and with a slate of other matchups taking place later this year including Jose Aldo vs Merab Dvalishvili, Cory Sandhagen vs Song Yadong, and Petr Yan vs Sean O'Malley, Chito has lot of options for who his next fight is going to be.

You definitely don't want to miss his next fight...
